Susan Walker

Susan WalkerBorn in a state her family never lived in, Susan Walker spent the next few years bopping around the United States with her parents. By the time she was six, the family had expanded to include a brother and sister, and had settled in State College, Pennsylvania.

Susan knew from the age of five that she wanted to be a writer when she grew up. The dream continued to grow as she wrote, and wrote, and wrote some more. After high school graduation, Susan spent four semesters at Penn State University where she learned what she did not want to be. After another year spent at South Hills Business School learning to type and file, Susan joined the United States Air Force for four years as a Medical Administration Specialist. During that four years, Susan married, gave birth to a son, bought a house, and a dog and settled into life as a wife and mother.

Once back in the civilian world, Susan’s career included work as a medical transcriptionist, insurance agency office manager, and medical secretary. Through it all, she continued writing, focusing on stories for children and young adults.

After two years of writing children’s stories for a military family support website, Susan’s first book was accepted for publication, three weeks after her fortieth birthday. Since that first book, she has published five children’s chapter books, five young adult novels, and three women’s fiction. Ten years ago, she adopted two pen names and published more than a hundred romance novellas.

Now divorced, Susan Walker currently lives in central Texas with Honey, her 70 lb. mixed breed dog who acts as bodyguard and personal trainer. She continues writing across the genre spectrum, allowing her muse and imagination to choose the next story to share with the world.
